The Colours of Bornholm – 'Light Pink Colour Bloc' – 20 cm x 20 cm Acrylic Wall Tile + Stories

See how the colours of Bornholm come to life in these stunning Acrylic Wall Tiles by Mandy Stacey, part of her ‘The Colours of Bornholm: Colour Blocs’ PhotoArt Series.

‘LIGHT PINK COLOUR BLOC’

With four prettily pink, unique Bornholm images, this stylish PhotoArt brings a little bit of Bornholm magic into your home. It is tenderly pretty on its own, or you can mix-and-match it with any of the other 16 coloured tiles. Create a delicate pastel quartet by adding White, Light Blue and Yellow or ramp up the pink effect with Dark Pink and Purple.

Featuring 4 iconic Bornholm images:

“PETAL PINK”: The prettiest of pink summer roses on an old cottage in Gudhjem
“STRAWBERRY ICECREAM”: The well-known little tuk-tuk outside Gudhjem Is signposting its delicious creamy icecream
“HOMELY PINK”: In the heart of Old Town Rønne hides a cute little house, half-timbered in pink
“PINK WORLD”: A memorable December afternoon in Døndalen: first the sky turned pink, then the sea turned pink… until it seemed that the whole world had turned pink

This PhotoArt Series ‘Bornholm Colour Blocs’ celebrates the colours of Bornholm throughout the year, collected into separate colour palettes and produced as individual Wall Tiles. Each colour tile is made up of 4 of Mandy Stacey’s unique ‘Redefining Colour’ images – where the natural world produces a “colour sample” that she names as if it were a paint colour. And behind every single image is a little story about Bornholm – included as a print-out.

With 17 different Wall Tiles to choose from you can experience the beautiful colours and timeless spirit of Bornholm in this new, stylish format. The Acrylic material adds a rich depth to the colours and the high gloss finish makes it appear lit up, and the innovative hidden mount makes it “float” on your wall.

The tiles are lightweight and need no further framing, just pop them on your wall with the 3M stickers already placed on the back of the mount. Small and beautiful, like a little coloured gemstone, they can fit in anywhere as a single tile or you can create your own colour combination by mixing-and-matching the colours to suit your own individual taste and home décor.

Product details: Individually made Acrylic Wall Tile with high quality photo print behind 3mm thick glossy Acrylic panel with polished edges. Mounted on an 11.5 cm x 11.5 cm hard foam block, with x4 corner 3M peel-off stickers in place that do not damage your wall. Moisture, scratch and UV resistant.

Further information: Simple “How to Mount, Move and Care for your Acrylic Tile” instructions are included.

FACTFILE:

• ‘Bornholm Colour Blocs’ were developed from Mandy Stacey’s PhotoArt Series 'The Colours Of Bornholm: In All Four Seasons' which is on display in her Gallery 'The House Of Many Colours' in Allinge in a 100 cm x 100 cm Backlit interactive format, where customers can select and listen to the stories.
• Mandy Stacey said this about the original exhibition piece which shares the same colour palettes:

“I fell in love with Bornholm in the summer of 2022. It was easy. The vibrant colours, the breath-taking beauty of the nature, the ageless charm of the place. And then I discovered the famous artist Oluf Høst’s paintings of Bornholm, capturing the same scenes in the same bright colours, and it inspired me to create a PhotoArt Series celebrating the colours of Bornholm in all four seasons.”

• Her interest in Oluf Høst was rewarded with an exhibition in The Oluf Høst Museum in 2023 using her PhotoArt to tell the fascinating story of the artist’s son Ole W. Høst who tragically died in WWII.
• Mandy Stacey is an English artist now living permanently in Allinge, Bornholm with her Danish husband and business partner Curt Stavis.
• She also has a permanent exhibition of 'The Colours of Bornholm' PhotoArt at Bornholm’s Airport.
