Specially designed The Colours of Democracy “Allinge” 25 cm x 25 cm Poster - inspired by the Folkemøde.

Allinge, Bornholm. Beautiful harbourside town on the Northern tip of the sunshine island. And home to the greatest Danish democratic meeting of all times – The Folkemøde. Why not hold on to the memories and take a little bit of Allinge home with you with this specially created PhotoArt of Allinge and the surrounding area.

Small but perfectly formed Fine Art Print of 13 images of Allinge and the surrounds, in the classic Bornholm colour palette of greens and blues and of course sunshine yellow.

  • At its heart is a central “hero shot” of the view of Allinge Smokery over north harbour from the coastal path to Sandvig.
  • Surrounded by “Colour Samples” of little slices of Bornholm life from the area: the famous yellow Church in Allinge; the Little Lighthouse still in use in Hammeren; historic Salomon’s Chapel; and the characteristic roof of 12th Century Olsker Church.
  • And all supported by breath-takingly beautiful nature, glowing with colour.
  • And last but not least – The Dome Building, Allinge – otherwise known as Mandy Stacey’s FUTURE-SCAPE colour – for its central part in shaping the future of democracy in Denmark.
  • And behind every image is a little story. Sometimes informative, sometimes inspiring, they’ll tell you where they were taken and why. (Sent as a print-out with the poster.)

Product details: This fine art poster is printed on good quality paper (220 gsm satin, sustainably sourced)

Size:  25 cm x 25 cm Square. Fits a standard 25 cm x 25 cm frame. (The modern, deep-set (and good value for money) Ikea Sannahed in black or white is recommended.)

The Folkemøde was inspiration for English artist Mandy Stacey’s creative concept THE COLOURS OF DEMOCRACY Made in Allinge. With her little waterfront gallery THE HOUSE OF MANY COLOURS right in the centre of the action she wanted to play her part in the Folkemøde, to celebrate the impressive Danish democracy taking place right on her doorstep. It made sense to her that Allinge and its surrounding beautiful sites and landscapes should be recognised in the part that they play for everyone gathered. This PhotoArt has been specially created for the occasion.
