'Heart of Herts: In 4 Seasons': an 8-part PhotoArt Series produced as high gloss Fine Art Prints, framed in White Wood (2 pictures per season: Small 23 cm x H 50 cm + Large W 100 cm x H 70 cm) capturing the calming atmosphere of the countryside and celebrating the natural beauty of rural Hertfordshire.

Mandy Stacey explains the thinking behind her PhotoArt 'Heart of Herts':

"In early 2020, England bowed to the global Covid pandemic and we were all forced to stay at home. Fortunately for me, I had just moved my family out of our cramped London flat into a large, modern house in 'the last road in London" right on the edge of Hertfordshire where we could walk in beautiful nature, right from our doorstep. And as the seasons unfurled, the colours of those rejuvenating walks spoke to me, each season describing a colour palette of its own that I captured in my PhotoArt.

Each season is represented in 2 pictures that work together - the small abstract displays 6 colour samples that summarise a season's colour palette; a larger mosaic of bigger feature photographs of local beauty spots supported by intriguing close cropped images in "pops of colour"."

Spring: Where butterflies led the way along blackthorn lined footpaths, the colour palette was the freshest of pastels plus zingy lime green

Summer: While walking through tall grasses and poppy studded meadows, the colour palette consisted of blasts of hot red, sunshine yellow and intense blue

Autumn: A harvest festival of the hedgerows and muddy footpaths, the colour palette was warm brown, pumpkin orange and michaelmas daisy mauve

Winter: With thick white snow forming lavender shadows in the sharp winter sunlight, the cool palette was monochromatic black and white, spiked with a deep blue

This PhotoArt Series can be hung in 4 parts, with space between to enjoy all 4 seasons at the same time. Or it can be hung on a wall, a season at a time, so that when the 1st of March comes around the cool hues of the Winter PhotoArt can be replaced with light and freshness of Spring. Then as temperatures soar, Summer's hot colours work well from June to August, when finally warm Autumn graces your wall from September to the end of November - keeping your art exciting all year round, reflecting the light and mood of the season.
