'Cityscape' is a large Original Backlit Acrylic with Stories (W 140 cm x H 61 cm) that is both a striking, colourful modern PhotoArt and a dimmable light source in your home.

'Cityscape' was made in 2016. Or should I say, 'Cityscape' made itself in 2016... Here's how:

Late for work, August heat, London streets. A building, lit up by the sun, stopped me in my tracks; inspiring a poem "Cityscape, Hot Day" and this PhotoArt.

I have always been particularly attracted to geometric architecture. And when this is combined with strong colour, my heart soars. So, taking the lead from the dazzling white Camden building, I collected 12 of my best colourful, geometric London buildings and assembled them into one PhotoArt 'Cityscape'.

I made sketches of my images to model the perfect layout - these make a picture of their own - which can be combined with the backlit acrylic if desired.

The final 'Cityscape' composition - of colourful bold images printed on a dramatic black background - is, in the words of my poem, "A geometric poem, coloured in by a magician."

It appears to float on the wall, with a discreet made-to-measure LED light panel behind it. Mood and light intensity is managed with the adjustable dimmer switch.
