Introducing the all new, metal fridge magnet - as requested by over 100 customers last summer in Mandy Stacey's Gallery 'The House of Many Colours' in Allinge.

So, Mandy Stacey sourced a high quality (museum/art gallery standard) metal magnet (6.5 cm x 6.5 cm in size) and created a unique design based on her PhotoArt Series: 'The Colours of Bornholm in all Four Seasons'.

Here's what she had to say about it:

"So many people wanted a fridge magnet as a souvenir to remind them of their wonderful holiday on Bornholm, that I made one especially! I included four sunny, summery images, in the four colours that I consider to be 'the classic Bornholm palette' - yellow, green, white and blue - of some of the best-loved sites on Bornholm."

• Yellow is the colour of 'the sunshine island' - pictured here on a traditional yellow house in Gudhjem.
• Green is the colour of the rolling landscape around Hammerhus Castle Ruin and the beautiful deep green water of The Opal Lake..
• White is the colour of the four fascinating 12th Century round churches - the biggest one shown here is Østerlars
• Blue is the colour of the Baltic Sea beckoning you in to swim, like here in the sheltered bay of Balka Beach where the sand is white and silky.

• The Bornholm PhotoArt Magnet is an edit of Mandy Stacey’s PhotoArt Series 'The Colours of Bornholm: In All Four Seasons' which is on display in her Gallery 'The House Of Many Colours' in Allinge.
• It is taken from the Colour Palettes of the 12-part Series, where the famous Bornholm artist Oluf Høst (1884-1966) plays an inspirational role in the artworks, with their parallel colour palettes.
• This is what Mandy Stacey has to say about the original exhibition work:

“I fell in love with Bornholm in the summer of 2022. It was easy. The vibrant colours, the breath-taking beauty of the nature, the ageless charm of the place. And then I discovered the famous artist Oluf Høst’s paintings of Bornholm, capturing the same scenes in the same bright colours, and it inspired me to create a PhotoArt Series celebrating the colours of Bornholm in all four seasons.”

• Her interest in Oluf Høst was rewarded with an exhibition in the Oluf Høst Museum in 2023 using her PhotoArt to tell the interesting story of the artist’s son Ole W. Høst who tragically died in WW2.
• Mandy Stacey is an English artist now living in Allinge with her Danish husband and business partner Curt Stavis. As well as creating her PhotoArt, they both have a company Bornholm365 to develop business and tourism on the island all the year round.
