Mandy Stacey's 'Colours of Bornholm' design is based on her glass wall tiles 'Colour Blocs' PhotoArt. The 16 different colours - each containing 4 different images - make up a square design. Each little image is a 'mini work-of-art', the subject matter artistically observed and cropped - the result of Mandy Stacey’s PhotoArt process of 'redefining colour' where she deconstructs landscapes into 'Colour Samples'.

• The A5 Spiral Lined Notebook is an edit of Mandy Stacey’s PhotoArt Series 'The Colours of Bornholm: In All Four Seasons' which is on display in her Gallery “The House Of Many Colours” in Allinge.
• The cover design is based specifically on her 'Colour Blocs' PhotoArt of 16 glass tiles that is also on display in her Gallery. (The tiles can also be bought singly.)
• 'The Colours of Bornholm: In All Four Seasons' Series is inspired by the famous Bornholm artist Oluf Høst (1884-1966), based on their parallel colour palettes for each season.
• This is what Mandy Stacey had to say about the original exhibition artwork:

“I fell in love with Bornholm in the summer of 2022. It was easy. The vibrant colours, the breath-taking beauty of the nature, the ageless charm of the place. And then I discovered the famous artist Oluf Høst’s paintings of Bornholm, capturing the same scenes in the same bright colours, and it inspired me to create a PhotoArt Series celebrating the colours of Bornholm in all four seasons.”

• Her interest in Oluf Høst was rewarded with an exhibition in 2023 in the Oluf Høst Museum using her PhotoArt to tell the fascinating story of the artist’s son Ole W. Høst who tragically died in WW2.
• Mandy Stacey is an English artist now living in Allinge, Bornholm with her Danish husband and business partner Curt Stavis. As well as creating her PhotoArt, they both have a company Bornholm365 to develop business and tourism on the island all year round.
