With its large square 60 cm x 60 cm format, this modern fine art print becomes a bold and beautiful statement piece in your home. And behind every one of its 120 pictures, there’s a little story…

Immerse yourself in the different elements of the PhotoArt:

  • Mandy Stacey’s 120 individual “Colour Samples” capture the very essence of Bornholm, beautiful at all times of the year.

  • The Colour Samples “redefine colour” and are laid out as a giant colour palette – a slice of real life in all its 3D glory being so much better at representing that colour than a man-made chart.

  • The expressive colour names that give greater insight into the Colour Samples.

  • The little stories about each and every picture. Sometimes informative, sometimes inspiring, they’ll tell you where they were taken and why. Sent as a print-out with the poster.

The different coloured images all come together in a striking composition, evoking the vibrant colours and happy memories of Bornholm in all four seasons. It really has the “wow-factor”.

FACTFILE:

  • The Celebration Palette (otherwise known as “The Biggy” is part of Mandy Stacey’s PhotoArt Series “The Colours of Bornholm” which is on display in her Gallery “The House of Many Colours” in Allinge in a 1 metre square backlit interactive format.

  • This is what she has to say about the original exhibition artwork which shares the same Palette colours:

“I fell in love with Bornholm in the summer of 2022. It was easy. The vibrant colours, the breath-taking beauty of the nature, the ageless charm of the place. And then I discovered the famous artist Oluf Høst’s paintings of Bornholm, capturing the same scenes in the same bright colours, and it inspired me to create a PhotoArt series celebrating the colours of Bornholm in all four seasons.”

  • Her interest in Oluf Høst was rewarded with an exhibition in The Oluf Høst Museum in 2023 using her PhotoArt to tell the fascinating story of the artist’s son Ole W. Høst who tragically died in WW2.

  • Mandy Stacey is an English artist now living in Sandvig with her Danish husband and business partner Curt Stavis. As well as creating her PhotoArt, they both have a company Bornholm365 to develop business and tourism on the island all year round.
